Bareket & Cleo Wade Mural Collaboration

Flashback to April 4th – 2018…

This is a mural by Bareket. I chatted with her last Sunday.. and that reminded me that I should post these pictures….

Top image is the completed mural that they were able to finish that very same weekend.

The middle image on the left is the wall that she has masked off for the lettering.. (that’s a lot of tape BTW).

The middle image on the right is her with her crew working on the mural – she’s the one in the blue jean jacket. (I think that is @luvsumone on the other ladder)

Bottom left is her with a film crew… I guess they must have been discussing the project.

Bottom middle — Very meme friendly and signed by the artists.

Bottom right.. That photo was taken a month later on May 5th.. It’s still looking good !

From her IG… she said this about the project: Hugely inspired by the activism of @cleowade who had the immense privilege of collaborating with on this mural recently in Toronto. In light of everything that’s going on in the world, I’d like to share another writing of hers – let’s work together to make the world safe for everyone. ”

Shameless Plug.. But I wanted to post this because she has organized another project that she calls “Womxn Paint Toronto”.. The ceremony is this Sunday. Check out her IG to find out more about her art and her latest project !

From her website I found this: “My work is motivated by a desire to spread joy, nurture present minded living, cultivate gratitude, and foster new social interactions. I work with bright colours and bold patterns to captivate people’s attention and fill them with delight. I am passionate about creating art that both aesthetically and psychologically brightens the streets and want to build a community around positive living and empowerment.”

Well Said !
