Moises Frank aka Luvsumone Aerosol Murals

Luvsumone is a street artist who I didn’t know much about until Instagram !
He’s incredibly busy and incredibly talented. His energy is phenomenal, he just doesn’t seem to stop. He had so many projects going last year that I still haven’t seen them all.

I found a brief bio on the Patch Project and this is his artistic statement:

“My work reflects my personal experimentation and evolution of what graffiti is to me. This urban phenomenon of “graffiti” has grown and changed so much over the years and I am somewhere in the mess. I am traditional and “purist” in the sense that I use no tape, no stencils, no projections, no brushes or chalk. Everything is done freehanded on the spot with the spray can. However, being a millennial and growing up with the age of the internet my style has been influenced by so many other forms of media and artist all over the world. My “graffiti” tends to break or bend the “rules” of tradition graffiti murals and pushes the boundaries of what graffiti means. I believe this is crucial to the development and growth of graffiti culture.”

These are the pictures that I have taken of his work over the last year an half.

Don’t Forget to Drink Water Mural

This was the first time I came across his work. I didn’t even know who to credit on my Instagram. This is in graffiti alley.

Hashtag Gallery Art Show

This was as art show by Luvsumone x Javid Jah at Hashtag Gallery.

Information about the event:

“”Opening” is a series of aerosol paintings on corrugated shipping container siding that challenge audiences to enter/entertain their spiritual pathways. The corrugated Corten steel pieces are collected during the process of cutting open doors and windows in re-purposed shipping containers. The images depicted on these discarded pieces play with our perceptions of individual sacred space – meditative spatial manifestations originating from various spiritual traditions. The ambition is to awaken audiences to our ability to inspire tranquility and unity through the most improbable materials – spray paint and corrugated Corten steel.”
