On The Move Murals
“Created by more than 50 artists and youth artist mentees, these murals bring new energy, colour, and stories to the neighbourhood, welcoming commuters, residents, and visitors alike.”
Checked on the new mural on Bloor. These were first done back in 2015 or so.. and on both sides of the street right by the UPX station.
They are hard to photo with your cellphone. You need a point and shoot with a good lense to get decent photos.
These projects being a lof diverse talent. Sometimes I think it might be too much of everything. They did a theme “On the Move” based on the train station itself..However with all the different styles it becomes a visual overload. imho.
Putting one of these mural events is a huge undertaking.. so I think they to include as many artists as possible, which is fair..
Anyway.. they have been treated as well.. so if they get tagged they will be easy to clean.
A few of my faves
Jeff Blackburn Mural

Always a striking and unique style Jeff’s panel is one my faves. I noticed he uses the color purple a lot..
Colin Tea Mural
There seems to be a kid theme happening. Not sure if its because this is right outside a school. Or it these are the artists actual kids.
Curtia Wright Mural
Nice one by Curtia .. .i’ve been seeing a lot her work this week for some reason.
Old Hues Mural
Pretty amazing mural by Old Hues. The dogs are painted so well they almost look real.
Visible Noise Mural
An artist that haven’t heard of before. They get the corner piece which is well deserved.
Anyway, check it out for yourself. Be careful taking pictures. If you go on the road.. there’s lot of cars doing by. And if you shoot on te sidewalk .. there’s lots of everything going by !
