Toronto Street Art Finds December 2015
Almost forgot I loaded another Youtube video back in April. These were all taken in December of 2015. Its a lot longer than I thought it was going to be. That’s why they invented Fast Forward
Some street art/graffiti highlights:
Troy Lovegates Mural
One of the first murals by Troy Lovegates that I saw in person. It was actually close to where I lived at the time. He puts actual people from the area into his murals.
Its been tagged since this photo unfortunately.
PoserABM Graffiti
One of the first PoserABM graffiti mouse/mice that I stumbled upon. It was somewhere in the west end. Then I noticed more and more of these mice everywhere I walked. Pretty sure that this graffiti was tagged a long time ago.
Garage Door Murals
This was one of a series of garage door murals that were painted by the same artist down a long laneway just off of Harbord St. Most of them are still intact with a few tags here and there.
ArtChild Mural
One of the few murals that wasn’t destroyed by the Keele Wall. From what I remember this building is still there. It was the building with the Midas mural that was taken out for a new condo development.
Uber5000 Mural
Another mural that is still around. Its faded a lot but still going. This was for another laneway project back in the day.
Bird0 Mural
Another mural by Bird0 that is still around. Last time I saw it – no tags. Sometimes when the sun hits — it just right – it almost looks 3D. This mural is just off of Ossington.
Anyway .. I hope you liked the video. I am actually working on the next one from January 2016 – which is of course what reminded me that I hadn’t posted this one yet.
It’s interesting watching these years later and seeing how much the city has changed and how the art does as well.
