Graffiti Street Art Highlights
These are all from March of 2016. Some of the photos turned out better than others. March isn’t the best time of year for urban exploration. Sometimes the weather just sucks. It can be either raining or snowing this time of year. Looking in back alleys from graffiti isn’t as good as it in during summer. March of 2016 was as bad as some other years.. so I did manage to take hundreds of pictures back then. I narrowed 150 of the graffiti and street art photos for the video.
Alfa Tribute Mural
This is a tribute to Alfa who was considered to be the first graffiti writer in Toronto. Some of the other graffiti writers put “RIP ALFA” as a salute ot him.
“When Bardia Bryan Zargham got serious about graffiti, he chose Alpha as his tag and set about painting all over Toronto.
That was about five years ago, and since then, “Alpha” and “Alfa” have appeared from back alleys to boxcars, bringing underground fame to the 18-year-old artist and frustration from those who wished he would stop.”

Anser Mysterious Date Graffiti
This is no longer there as the construction site isn’t there either. Anser writes his graffiti character all over town. Some people even try to find them all. He sells paintings as well as T-shirts with that design on them.

Francis Pratt Graffiti Truck
This is by Francis Pratt.. (not to be confused with Frances Pratt). This was done back in 2015. It makes sense to have a white van painted by an artist simply because they are an easy target. So many vans have graffiti all over them.

Young Jarus Midas Mural
This mural by Young Jarus really stands out when you see it on the subway. Riding by you can see it from above and the rest of the area is covered in graffiti. This was done back in September of 2012

Jimmy Chiale Car Mural
This mural by Jimmy Chiale isn’t around anymore.. The building was demolished – I think for another condo project. You don’t notice that car shape right away..

Kizmet32 Working Live
Stumbled upon Gabriel Kizmet working live back in March of 2016. I didn’t know who he was to be honest at the time.. or I would have gone over to say hello. I passed by this recently and I noticed that the paint is really starting to peel.
