November Street Art Finds

I haven’t been updating as much as I should.. but there haven’t been as many art projects because of COVID. There are a few that I still have to check out.. but I’ll save them for a snowy day.

Natalie Very B Garage Door Mural

I stumbled on this garage door mural by Natalie Very B by accident. She’s been very active creating art all year long.

“I create bold feminist illustrations that depict body positivity and self-love,” writes Natalie, and beyond Instagram, where she posts plenty of cartoon-ified #posivibes, she’s known for painting the town red, black and white. Those colours are kind of her signature palette, and Natalie’s made murals for local skate parks and lane ways, storefronts and electrical boxes.

Justus Roe Bridge Mural

Just over 3 years ago Justus Roe was apart of a culture exchange with Chicago. He along with a crew painted this huge bridge. Unfortunately, over time and with the lack of graffiti maintenance – this bridge is looking like it needs another facelift.

Cindy Scaife & Goisa Komorski Mural

This corner is right near the subway station.. so it’s really busy. It was pretty hard getting photographs of the art by Cindy Scaife & Goisa Komorski who did this collaboration together.

Unfortunately, another condo project his coming here.

Sounds like it was wild working on this mural !

Keele Wall Mural

Speaking of more unwanted condos.. there are some more coming to this section of the city as well.

The Keele Wall is an ongoing mural collaborative since 1989.

They finally started an Instagram account for the wall.

Official account. Dedicated to Toronto’s graffiti hall of fame, and longest running wall. 2020 marks the 30th anniversary

Alexander Bacon Mural

Basically everyone gets together and hangs out and creates art. This is Alex Bacon who was celebrating some happy news.

Kane-ism Mural

It was hard to get pictures of the final version of this section by Kane-ism because of the cars. (please don’t park in front of art!)

Ryan Dineen & Young Jarus Mural

The top section with Midas is by Young Jarus done about 8 years ago. This month Ryan Dineen added his section.

Shinobi Studios Mural

This was done back in October by Shinobi Studios.

Anyway this is a great spot to check out. You can see it from the subway.. but it’s better to explore on foot.

Honestly, I really hope that their condo project doesn’t happen I will really miss all the artwork that is scattered along this section of the city.
