Big On Bloor Pop Up Festival 2020

So.. normally Big on Bloor happens in August and this year is no exception. However COVID has made large gatherings illegal and that means events like Big on Bloor can’t operate ‘as normal’.

Last year they had Kizmet32 painting a truck, Andre Kan painted a Smart Car and Jacquie Comrie painted a wall near Landsdowne Subway station.

Unfortunately Jacquie’s mural got tagged recently.

What they decided to do this year instead is basically a pop up type of event. Until September 22nd various projects will be revealed.

Julia Prajza Door Mural

I saw Julia Prajza working on this mural and I wasn’t sure if it was her on not as she had her back to me !.. I have only seen a few artists working live this year.. and I have run in to Julia twice now ! She told me what was going on with Big on Bloor and told me check the rest of the art out. Which I did !

Natalie Very B Door Mural

Across the street from Julia I found this door mural by Natalie Very B.

Peru143 Mural

This by Peru143 was a nice addition.

Andre Kan Car Mural

Then around the corner I saw Andre Kan setting up his camera to record a live concert.

I had just seen Andre’s painted car a litte while earlier and I had seen him last year as well. He told me about the other painted cars so I kinda found everything organically.

Ok I should know who did this car.. but I don’t. I will find out !

Leyland Adams Car Mural

At the parking lot at Dufferin & Bloor I found this car by Leyland Adams.

Oriah Scott Van Mural

Actually Oriah Scott got to paint a van which turned out really well !

Duct Tape Art Mural

Another unknown artist who does their artwork with duct tape !

Simpson Mural

I don’t think this is apart of the Big On Bloor festival but I found it near Andre Kan’s car mural.

Hemps Mural

I know this wasn’t apart of the Big On Bloor but it’s around the corner from the Simpsons artwork. This mural is by Hemps and I found it a couple of years ago – still look awesome !

Victor Fraser Sidewalk Art

There is some sidewalk art by Victor Fraser who has been painting for the festival for a few years.

Monyzak Mural

At the corner of Landsdowne and Bloor I spotted this mural by Monyzak.
