his is from April 2022. I used to walk by this place all the time. Its a busy road as you can tell by the traffic sounds in the video. I think i jumped the traffic the day that I took this video. Previously it was only photos from the opposite side of the street.
This used to be a Thai restaurant that the city of Gatineau painted up for the art culture train.I found it looked better in the snow because the colors popped out..
However, it was easier to get footage of this place without the snow.
There was a placard on the door that said
“en x dans le lit king. faire l’ange dans les draps parce que la neige est sale
Annia St-Man Quebech”
and Google Translate says that means
“in x in the king bed. act like an angel in the sheets because the snow is dirty
Annia St-Man Quebec”

I found an article about it from 2024 – again I translated it from French.
The small colorful house on Montcalm Street has a new vocation. The former Thai restaurant is now home to the Centre d’art contemporain de l’Outaouais (CACO).
Inaugurated in June, the Centre d’art 101 offers workshops of visual artists, an art gallery and a collaborative place for emerging bedeists.
We are called the Centre d’art contemporain de l’Outaouais and we have not had a center for 10 years!
A quote from Denis Marceau, President of the Centre d’art contemporain de l’Outaouais and sculptor
Founded in 1996, the CACO Now find at the Art Center 101 a space where to continue its mission. The organization wishes to highlight the cultural and multidisciplinary projects of the artists of the region, while registering as a place of exchange and meetings.
It nice that they kept it and its being used for art now. If you get a chance when you are in the Ottawa area – go across the border and check out Gatineau it has a lot of art for a smaller city
