Back to back Birdo
Another one by @jerrryrugg with his regular mural partner @mr_tensoe2 that is just a short distance from my last post down that same alley. He kinda owns the back alleys around here.
This is his bird that looks like a Blue Jay. It says 93 ’til Infinity – which, is the last time the Toronto Blue Jays won the World Series. That won’t make sense to people outside of North America .. but it’s American Baseball ⚾ which is sorta like cricket – but not really.
Anyway, Toronto Canada has the only team that isn’t in the USA Not sure why its called the ‘World Series’ since it isn’t a global sport like say Football or what we call Soccer.⚽ They did this last year; I think when the team was in the play offs and he was selling hats with this design on it.
Another thing that I didn’t know until recently is that ‘Birdo’ is a character in the Super Mario Bros video games series .???? That would explain the video game influences in his work.
