Transitory Sticker Slap

Found this Transitory sticker slap in Parkdale. The trucker hat is from Ballroom Marfa which is ” non-profit organization and a dynamic, contemporary cultural arts space where varied perspectives and issues are explored through visual arts, film, music, and performance. ” in San Antonio Texas. You can even buy that hat in their shop.

Chipmunks Sticker Slaps

[one_half][/one_half][one_half_last][/one_half_last]

Found a few of these sticker slaps in spring of 2017. I have no idea what they were for. High Park is nearby which has a population of chipmunks.. that’s all I can think of.

Bruno Smoky Sticker Slap

I think this is the 3rd Bruno Smoky sticker slap that I have found so far. This one appears to be an explosion. The ones I have seen have grisly themes.

Time and Desire Sign and LoveBot Sticker Slap

Another Street Sign installed by artists Time and Desire. This one I found in China Town. When you first notice it.. it looks like any other street sign. Upon closer look you realize its actually an art piece. I don’t know what that translates into.

Lovebot the Robot slapped one of his stickers on top of the sign.

Sverface Community

I’ve seen a few sticker slaps with SVVF on them.. didn’t realize until now that its actually for a clothing line. There is an article that talks about who they “use heavy-metal and skate aesthetics for their own brand of rebellion ”

Unsettling News Wheat Paste

[one_half][/one_half][one_half_last][/one_half_last]

I found this wheat paste throw up in May.. it was only around for a short period of time before it got torn down. Bkez now has a mural in the very same location.

The only information that I can find is something by Queso.. and this blurb : ” 3 stencils entitled Unsettling News for the Privileged. This work will explore what it would look like if Indigenous gender-non-conforming people organized a revolt in colonized cities.”

Maybe, it was for an art project. I found some more pictures of the same stencils here
