Its great when they tell you the actual location of these murals… because you can go and find it on your way home.
My friend had an event in Trinity Bellwoods Park for the 50th anniversary of the “Summer of Love’ and it was his mothers birthday as well. I went to see him and his kids and walked by here afterward.
Here it is. A very cool mural in a parking lot in the trendiest spot in the city.
What was great about this ….is that they actually put Traffic Cones in front of this mural so, that no cars could park in front of it.. !
That is so genius and very much appreciated. Makes picture-taking so much better…
When I was coming out of this spot.. a dad was taking his kids into the parking lot and telling them to look at all the art.
This particular spot has a lot of murals in the parking lot. There’s a lot of bars in the area popular with hipsters. Ten years ago only it wasn’t full of the art that it is now.
I should do a future post with all the different murals that I have discovered in the area over the last couple of year. There are way to many which is why I have been posting them one by one. Although, all the artwork makes the entire area amazing – I think it’s better to focus on one mural at a time.
This coffee-house is a chain in the city and all of their locations have a large mural on the outside. They put famous people with the name Jimmy on the walls because its Jimmy’s Coffee House.
