Urban Exploration Photography from weekend in Toronto. I found some graffiti and some works in progress, as well as some completed mural artwork around town
Bridge Mural Art Mural Project
Went back to to the Roncesvalles Bridge Revitilization project on Sunday to check it out again. Justus Roe has gone back to the states. This project was to celebrate Canada 150 and the Year of Public Art that is taking place in Chicago
They were still working on it when I went by on Saturday but I didn’t want to interrupt them as there are so many people that go by this bridge every minute.
This is the view of the bridge from below, you can imagine how many cars go by this spot every day..
Another view from below the bridge. Some of the assistants were able to paint some of their own artwork underneath a dedicated spot.
Ashana one of the assistants painted this cat on the bridge. That is my shadow next to it.
Another assistant made this smaller mural under the bridge

From Saturday I found this by the rail trail at the entrance. Pie Boy did this for Akin Projects. I never heard of this before .. from their website it says “Akin Projects is an arts programming organization and registered nonprofit established in 2015 for the purpose of providing both creative and professional development opportunities to members of Toronto’s artistic and cultural community and the public at large.”
The sun was splashing across this so I didn’t get the best of pictures. But you can see the front at back of it here. He has a very unique style….

Sidewalk Graffiti
From today Monday – July 31 – I found this at the University of Toronto Bookstore. Its someone’s face that was drawn on the sidewalk.
Painted Art Mural in Progress
Later on I passed this work in progress that Jacqueline Comrie Garrido is working on. I was hoping to see her as I met her last year while she was working on a Traffic Signal Box..
This is on the side of an Ice Cream Shop, it should be amazing when it’s complete. I will have to check back.
