???? Saint George Hotel by @jerryrugg
Look up !
It’s a bird .. it’s an owl.. it’s Birdoman !..
(sorry – I couldn’t resist the cheeze)..
This is by one of the only artists that I’ve been seen working — yet.. even though I’ve posted a zillion of his murals. He must work in the middle of night or something… Or maybe he’s just really fast.. like a Birdoman. !
This building used to be a Holiday Inn.. and now it’s a Kimpton boutique hotel called @saintgeorgetoronto
I found this blurb from @torontolife
“West-facing side of the Fourteen-storey tower, they commissioned Toronto street artist Jerry Rugg (a.k.a. Birdo) to paint a giant owl mural.
and this was interesting 2
“The signage is understated, but at night, small circular lights spell “Saint George” in Braille. It’s meant to be a nod to Honest Ed’s illuminated signage:”
The inside looks really nice 2.. lots of art and design details..
Hopefully, one day I will see the elusive Birdo !

???? Roots and Hope by @giova.graffiti ????????
From his account.. translated from Spanish
“Roots and Hope” mural made for the neighborhood of Dundas West in the city of Toronto, Canada. The work represents the different roots and cultures that coexist in harmony in the city, represented through the children a pubic school of Dundas West. Toronto is characterized by being a city made up of immigrants from all over the world, many of whom came to Toronto in the past decades looking for new opportunities or escaping war conflicts in their countries of origin. The children painted in this work, represent the descendants of these cultures, which coincided by certain coincidences of life in the same classroom in this place in the world”
He worked on another mural while he was here a little further down the street that I will post at a later date…
This wall didn’t have any graffiti on it.. but the wall mural (pictured above) directly across from this has been tagged.
