July Collaboration Mural Project Artworks
Collaboration seems to the word of the summer. Can’t believe how many artists were all working together this summer. I guess with COVID – it actually makes a lot of sense.
Here are just a few of the collaboration murals that I spotting in July.
Paul Jackson & Smolik Garage Door Mural
Found this Paul Jackson & Smolik collaboration by complete accident..
One of those …I decided to go south instead of going west.
I was pleased that I took the detour… as you might imagine !
Neither one of them has it post on their Instagram accounts @pauljacksonlives & @thatlosersmolik yet.

Flips BSC & Rowellsoler & Kreecha Mural
“Art is Essential” from his Instagram:
“The mural focuses on sending love to the frontline workers during the pandemic (seen in the tags of the body), while also pushing the importance/power of Art during COVID-19. “

Voodoo Graffiti
“This wall is protected by the spirit of Marcus Garvey & Andre Alexander if you touch this wall you will be cursed by voodoo”
According to Wiki “Marcus Mosiah Garvey Jr. ONH (17 August 1887 – 10 June 1940) was a Jamaican political activist, publisher, journalist, entrepreneur, and orator.”
Andre Alexander “was a well-known painter and printmaker in Kensington Market”. He was killed in a hit and run while riding his electric longboard on Sheppard Ave.

Random Graffiti
I’ve spotted a few of these random artworks all over Kensington. Someone has painted over different types of signage with their art. This one was an advertisement in front of a convenience store.
Christina Mazzulla Mural
This one is hard to get a photo of… but its by Christina Mazzulla who has to be one of the busiest street artists this year. She doesn’t seem to stop !

Hey Apathy Traffic Signal Mall
I caught a couple of projects in progress at this intersection.
This is a new traffic signal box by Mike Parsons.
Croft Street Mural
Then around the corner I managed to catch some of the best street artists in the city working on a new collab !
It was raining like an insane amount of water but most of them kept on going. The wall is right across from another mural project they did a couple of years ago.
Eliscer Elliott & Scieter
Going from left to right is Eliscer Elliott .
Alex Bacon & Jeff Blackburn
Working together in the middle section is Alex Bacon and Jeff Blackburn.
Nick Sweetman
Another artist who hasn’t stopped this year is Nick Sweetman. I haven’t been out exploring very much this year – but when I do go out.. I always run into Nick.. or as I like to call him Mr. Sweetman !
Peru143
This section is by Peru143 and I didn’t get to see him that day.
Vuducats & Shinobi Studios.
Christina Mazzulla also goes by Vuducats and this section she worked on with Shinobi Studios. She does a lot of work with that crew.

Big Chill Mural
I took a peak around the corner of the Big Chill mural that Jacquie Comrie did 3 years ago. This is what I found.
Clouds Mural
I love how someone took the time to draw those clouds with the blue sky. It’s their little oasis in the city.
Skull Graffiti
I either see penises or skulls in graffiti..sometimes both. On this day I saw a skull with a hat ! But it’s a happy skull.

Elicser Elliott & Scieter Mural
Another couple of street artists who haven’t taken any time off are these two guys: Elicser Elliott & Scieter. They’ve worked together on almost every single project this summer.

Back in June @thatlosersmolik @youngjarus @smugugly @kenny_dontplay @cmazzulla and @shinobistudios worked on this jam together in Skey Lane.

Peace Mural
This is a new ‘piece’ that says ‘peace’. I don’t know who did this one. It looks like a Ben Johnston – but it’s not on his account so I don’t think it is.

Ben Johnston Mural
This ‘peace love’ is for sure by Ben Johnston. I spotted both of the ‘peace’ murals on the same day even though they are in different neighbourhoods.
