Mid June 2021 Street Art
By Mid June of this year some of the street art projects were getting back in gear after almost a year long absence. It will still take some more time for things to get back to ‘normal’ but it was nice to see some new artwork happening downtown again.
Collab Alley Burners
Hadn’t been down this alley in awhile and found a new piece on the back wall.
The crocodile (or alligator) is by Nick Sweetman.
Not sure who did the burners but this is a list of some of the writers in Toronto.
Al Runt Mural
The restaurant that commissioned Al Runt to do this mural closed down way before COVID happened. Another place took over the business and left up the artwork. His work is all about the details – you gotta take look at all the things happening close up.
Dave Setrakian Mural
On the left side is a mural by Dave Setrakian who maintains this piece. There is a gallery space inside that building that has been used from weddings and even a shoe sales event for Drake.

Dreamers Mural
Alfalfa & Lapupila work together as “The Dreamers”. They are a couple and until recently were working in black and white.
Someone called me out for a comment I made about this wall ‘improving’ after it was redone by Nicolas Alfala and Addicted to Milk Box a couple of years ago. I didn’t mean to suggest that anyone’s work is better than anyone else’s but my comment was more out that the previously mural had been tagged and wasn’t being maintained. Also – the homeowners gave their approval on this work – so it’s ultimately about what they want on their property.
Saying all that.. this new verison looks nice.
