I had something else ready to post.. but in light of what happened today in Las Vegas I think that this seems more appropriate.

When I google that quote I get that it was attributed to the 70’s singer Jimi Hendrix. It also gives credit to a spiritual teacher from India called Sri Chinmoy who said… “Our human nature likes more to destroy than to build, more to cry than to smile, and more to correct the world than to love and embrace the world.”
Whoever said it.. its true.
So sorry for all those people that lost their lives today and those who survived as well. A traumatic day for everyone. So sad.
Every time one of these ‘evil events’ happens, I don’t know whether to post or not. Seeing all the #prayforlasvegas posts on Instagram all day… made me feel I should post something. And I’ve been inside that very hotel on the strip.
There is no avoiding talking about this one. All day I overheard people talking about it. Even at the checkout at a Walmart this evening the cashier was talking about it to a guy in front out me.
I felt ill to my stomach for most of the day. Thinking that I share the same planet with someone that could do something as vile as this – that really disturbs me. They could be halfway around the globe or sitting right next to me on the subway. I don’t know. I guess I can’t focus on that.
With the way things have been the last year all over the world.. I just shake my head I hope that this is the last of these ‘events’. I’m starting to feel numb.
I think its time to focus on the love part of this quote so maybe we can get some PEACE.
