This is one of those that “pictures can’t do it justice”. I did a multiple picture post because it’s really large and every section is equally impressive. .
Some of these are really best experienced in person.. this mural is definitely one of those.. For those not in the city .. I can’t describe how beautiful this is.
The details on this would be incredible if it were on a regular canvas. Imagine that the artists canvass was an entire wall by a really busy ???? underpass .. and the words “awesome” “fantastic”.. and it’s definitely “dope” ????????????????????????????????????????come to mind.
He did this earlier in August with another artist called Que Rock @qrockski but I didn’t get up to see it until last weekend. If you look at the google street view map you can see what it looked like before.
They spent a great deal of time working on this you can see the detail in the work. The rain this summer has been an obstacle for a lot of the street artists this year. I think there’s only been a handful of days all summer where it hasn’t rained.
I met him in person last year when he was working in an alleyway. I honestly didn’t know who he was but I awkwardly interrupted him and said hello. I feel bad when I interrupt these artists because I know that they must get so many people chatting them up. On that day last year he was very nice and we had a brief chat. He brings along his dog sometimes when he works and his dog just sits and watches.
His real name is Alex and he’s been perfecting his craft over the years and he’s definitely one of the top artists working in the city of Toronto.
