Garage Door Mural Artwork Collection

Toronto Street Art Graffiti featuring Garage Door Mural Artwork Collection captured back in March of 2017. Timmy Drift, Erica Balon, Nick Sweetman, Skam, Spudbomb, Li Hill, Flips, Art Child artwork. Graffiti by unknown graff writers including street artist Anser Mysterious Date. Homemade artwork as well.

Timmy Drift Garage Door Mural

Toronto Street Art Graffiti Toronto Street Art Graffiti

This garage door by Timmy Drift unfortunately is no longer. There was a big snowstorm🌨️back in December of 2016 and that structure just couldn’t handle the weight of the wet snow. It looks like the owners tried to repair it. But they ended up just replacing the entire building. There was artwork all around this garage. Hopefully, the new building will get some artwork on it.

LI hill Garage Door Mural

Toronto Street Art Graffiti

This is by Li Hill done for the project back in 2012.. I posted it on my Instagram already. He is based in New York City now.

Some more alley art 🎨 by @li_hill that I never noticed before last week.. In the summer – vegetation grows up that pole and you don't see it as well .. . It's a deer 🦌 painted on the back 🔙 of some building 🏢 in an alleyway (this alley is kinda grungy but it has some amazing art 🎨 in it) .. .. . Looking at his account it was done back in 2012. . He does a lot of work with wildlife in them… .i don't know what the typography says on this .. I'm going to guess.. 'home' .. 'action' .. and that is a guess.. . (I had the misfortune of being in a car 🚗 that hit one of these beautiful animals… I'll never forget it either… So sad 😔. .) . . . ____________________ . __ .. #tdot #thankyoutoronto #6ixwalks #memoirsoftoronto #viewsfromthe6 #yyz #inside_to #Toronto #Torontolife #blogto

Yellow Team Garage Door Mural

Toronto Street Art Graffiti

This just says “Yellow Team” on the garage door and the year 2014. Some of the garage doors I see look like they might have been done by the homeowners themselves, as opposed to hiring a professional artist. Again, its a preventive measure to stop the graffiti tags.

Finally, a graffiti tagged garage door. That is what most of them look like before the artwork. Apparently, Toy is a condescending term for an amateur graffiti writer.

  1. Hi Bret;

    Could you please tell me where the Casa Nostra garage art is? I’m working on a Blurb book on Toronto laneways and I haven’t seen that one…Thanks!

    Richard

    • Its right behind the Alto condo at 1544 Dundas St W … at the corner of Sheridan. There’s a few other murals at that location.
      Sounds like an interesting book !

      Hope that helped!
