stencil

Stencil artwork found it Toronto. These are photographs that I have taken around town. These are done with spray paint and a stencil as you would expect.

I created a separate tag for these because they would fit under the graffiti category as they are a different way to ‘tag’. They are obviously done in advance. They are done so that the artist can cover a lot more territory than if they had to do each piece individually.

Most of the stencils that I found tend to be very simple. Sometimes its just a slogan and the color of choice tends to be black aerosol but I have seen some done in red.

The most famous stencil artist would be Banksy and his tend to be a little more elaborate than most that I have found. Some of them have political messages that the artist is trying to share. They can be very well done.
