Aerosol Mural by Kyle Ghost keeper

Toronto Street Art Graffiti

???? by FYInk Kyle @kyleghostkeeper I that thought I posted last week.. but I didn’t I had posted it on my Twitter.

This artist is a tattoo artist.. and on Twitter there is a picture of him at Guy Fieri’s Kitchen and Bar in Mexico and it says this on there “The #TattooRockstar @kyleghostkeeper from @fyinktattoos visiting #Flavortown!!! ????????” –

I’ve noticed a lot of tattoo artists who also do street art. It kinda makes sense and this type of work is advertising for their tattoo parlours. I don’t have any tattoos.. whenever I thought about it.. I just imagined myself at 60 or 70 with tattoos and went.. nah.. but for those of you who have them. I salute you !

{Speaking of Twitter – I posted some art on there.. and a woman let me know that I was using the incorrect hashtags.. she was polite about it and I said ‘thanks for letting me know’. When I looked at her profile.. she had over 135K tweets.. – yes.. 135,000 tweets.. and it said she was a mother of two.. Who has time for 135,000 tweets !?

Also.. compared to Twitter — Instagram seem pretty classy in comparison ! Bring on the fitness models.. !)

This is also nearby in Graffiti Alley. Not sure who this is by.. it just says Tokyo Mon – “I Chose You!”. I’m guessing its a reference to Pokemon.

Black and White Challenge Thingy..

Toronto Street Art Graffiti

So.. I have been asked to do that “Black and White” Challenge.. this time by @tenfiveeleven & also by Ali @ajunebuga & Mike @mr.whywick

I think I did one photo in b&w the first time around.. but as I said before I post mostly street art photos.. which, honestly doesn’t work at all in black and white. The street artists have chosen certain colors for reasons..

I don’t want to appear anti-social by not taking this challenge.. So, I will post this one photo — that I thought looked kinda of cool in b&w.

The other rule was “no explanations, no animals or humans.” I can deal with the last two.. but I think every picture has a story.. and there was an explanation for this photo.

I was playing around with b&w in photoshop with this picture that I took at the Louis Vuitton @louisvuitton window. — its actually a display for Jeff Koons @jeffkoons the artist who is working with the fashion house on some handbags with masters paintings on them.

On the Louis Vuitton site – there is an explanation about his series called “Gazing Ball Paintings” – he says something interesting — in that he was “appreciating things that came before and things that are outside the self – having a life with more breadth to it.”. – that was the inspiration for his new work with this fashion designer. Which I found very interesting. Even though its upscale handbags.. it is a wonderful concept.

That is what is what this b&w photo is all about.. even though it does look better in color as it was intended but – like he says — I am appreciating things ‘outside the self’
