Toronto Street Art Finds January 2016

I managed to put together another video. These are all the street art and graffiti photos plus video clips that I took back in January of 2016. Its been so warm lately its nice to see snow again !

Some street art/graffiti highlights:

Mandela Mural

This used to be beside a Thai restaurant. This mural would change and it was usually tributes to famous people that had passed. Nelson Mandela was the historical figure and Prince would replace it.

Peru143 Mural

This was off of Ossington and it was my Peru143. If I put in my Instagram story with a tag – he would fix it the next time he was in Toronto. Its a mural for his twin kids. However this entire building is no more.

Lovebot Mural

Parkdale house with a Lovebot on the side. Its his tribute to Keith Haring. I find it kinda cool that so mang straight men adore Keith Haring who was totally gay and died of complications from AIDS.

Hello Kirsten Mural

One of my faves by Kirsten McCrea. It is on the of building that over looks Sorauren Avenue Park. I thought it was from that movie Please Be Kind and Rewind. But I don’t think it is.

Happy Graffiti

Pretty sure that all these tags are still there. I was walking around here a few months ago and noticed one of them. For some reason that makes me happy !?

Shalak Attack Mural

Overlooking another park by Shalak Attack. Originally it had ears on the car but the owners do something to the structure. She mentioned that the homeowners weren’t very nice and didn’t deserve this mural.

This video is a lot shorter than the previous one. I think 10 minutes looking at street art and graffiti is probably enough.
