Clandestinos Bruno Smoky Shalak Attack Show

Clandestinos Art & Murals

As most people know Clandestinos is Shalak Attack and Bruno Smoky. When they work together they go by ‘Clandestinos’ or ‘ClandestinosArt’, which is smart of them. This way they have an independent identity as well as a brand for when they collaborate together.

In all of 2019 I only discovered 2 new murals by Shalak Attack and Bruno Smoky and nothing by ClandestinosArt.

Bruno Smoky Mural

In early May Bruno Smoky did this mural just off of Bathurst street in an alley by Ulster.

Shalak Attack Mural

Then in the middle of July Shalak Attack did this mural on the side of Nando’s. It’s since been painted over which pretty much sucks.

BUT

They have been very busy outside of Toronto !

This mural was done in New York City

They also moved up north so they have been more active outside of the GTA.

Bruno Smoky Artwork

Back in February of last year I went to see Bruno in his studio. The thing that’s great about Bruno and Shalak is they take time for their fans. They will stop and chat with you on social media and they will make time to show you their art in person. That’s really unique and special !

As all of the art is hung everywhere in this small space it’s difficult to get individual photos of the canvas art.

As you can see a lot of the artwork is about nature and the environment.

You learn more about Bruno in this interview video.

Well & Good Group Art Show

Then in August of last year Well and Good put on a art show of some of the work that street artists had created. Everyone from Alex Bacon had pieces there. Shalak and Bruno were there and I got to take some pictures of them in front of the canvases.

They had a baby last year so that has kept them very busy.

They are one of the first street artists to deal with climate change in their work.

Clandestinos Art Show

Later on the last weekend of November Bruno and Shalak had an art show at their own studio. They invited all of their followers on Instagram to come out.. between their 3 accounts they have over 70K followers.

Needless to say it was very busy ! I only stayed for a short time but there was an endless stream of fans coming out to see their work.

They sold a lot of this artwork during and after the show. I am just glad that I was able to see the studio in February before all the art was gone !
