Raptors Themed Murals
Everyone has basketball fever because the Toronto Raptors are in the finals. Some artists have created murals dedicated to the teams historic win.
My post in going in chronological order. There’s been a lot of new art happening in the city. It’s going to be hard to keep up with it all. I’m still catching up with some murals from last year.
Animal Hospital Mural
I’m going to start with this mural because it’s also the start of Pride Week. I don’t know who this mural is by.. but it’s on the side of the Downtown Animal Hospital located in the heart of the Gay Village.

Michael Cavanaugh Bell Box Mural
I’m including this Bell Box by Michael Cavanaugh because he actually helps run the program. This was a very early mural done almost 10 years ago.

Luv Sumone
Toronto Raptors mural by Luv Sumone. Him and Javid Jah did this collaboration mural near Regent Park.
They made almost every newspaper and were featured on the 6 o’clock news.

I found this mural in Chinatown.. It doesn’t say who its by.. I probably shouldn’t say this.. but it looks unfinished.

Nicolas Alfalfa Cicada Mural
Nicolas has gone back to Uruguay but he finished this one mural of Cicada before he left.
It’s been raining so he wasn’t able to finish it all in one go.

ArtChild Aerosol Mural
This mural changes a lot. The latest incarnation has singer Betty Davis and he’s written “she’s got Betty Davis eyes”. Very clever and stunning art.

Bruno Smoky & MasPaz & CENS – DBS Collab Mural
This mural by Bruno Smoky & MasPaz & CENS was done back in September of last year.
This area can be a little rough to put it mildly. This replaces another mural they did about two years ago.
There’s also a small mural around the corner.
Bruno Smoky also does these little fun pieces.
