Some finds from the last couple of weeks.

Liberty Village Mural Project

I’ve been following this project for the last couple of weeks. It’s all hand painted and airbrush. This is a private project by the property owners – York Heritage. I met the lead artist briefly last weekend. He said his name is Lazlo and he’s been painting for 25 years. I’ll post the final mural when it’s complete.

Cesar Neuromantix

An artist who goes by Cesar Neuromantix on Instagram is working on the columns.

As you can see the property owners are hoping to have the entire wall done by different artists.

This was across the street by the train tracks. Seems to be a take on Pink Floyd !

ArtChild Mural

This is an older mural by ArtChild that is near the Keele Subway entrance.

Unknown Mural

I might have posted this in the winter.. The sun was hitting it perfectly. I think this was apart of a lane way project done about 5 years ago.

Hockey Mural

I think there was some junk in front of this one before. I never noticed it until last weekend. Pretty sure those are hockey skates and sticks with a puck.

Unknown Street Art

Another unknown mural. This one is huge !

King Kong Mural

I posted this street art of King Kong before..

Clandestino Wall Art

This one by Clandestino – aka Bruno Smoky and his wife Shalak Attack. They did it back in 2015. It’s tucked away on a street with very little traffic. It’s worth checking out if you are in Regent Park.

June Callwood Mural

This mural was hard to capture and I didn’t get the best photo. I had to walk around a few buildings and go behind some a spooky house. Then I had to take the picture over the fence. The vacant lot there is sealed off with a fence for some reason.

You can read the inscription here.

Chair Mural

Another unknown mural in a back alley. I thought it was kinda clever.

Hemps Mural

This was around the corner from the chair mural and could be by the same artist. I think this is by Hemps.. who doesn’t have an online presence.. which is very smart of him.

Julii McMillio Artwork

I talked to Julii McMillio who was working on her Bell Box mural.

She said that these are members of Martha and the Muffins (one the right) who were a band that played in the area in the late 1970’s.

They had a hit song at the time called ‘Echo Beach’. She said they came to check out her artwork !

Elicser Elliott Tree Artwork

There is an entire article about this tree by Elicser Elliott in the newspaper.

“Yet the Hug Me tree, a stump beautified in 1999 by graffiti artist Elicser Elliott, sprung into being as graffiti-tagged H.U.G., the name of Elliott’s graffiti crew, History Unleashes Genius.
